"Adata HD650 not being recognized", I had the same problem with the Adata HD650. It wasn't being recognized by my desktop but it was being recognized by my laptops. Turned out that the USB extension I was using was only USB 2.0. I thought that the USB 2.0 extension cable would make the 3.0 port and the drive default to USB 2.0 and it didn't. Being USB 2.0 backward compatible, I thought the drive would be recognized in any port with any cable. Not so. As soon as I plugged the drive directly into the USB 3.0 port it was recognized by my desktop system. For some reason the drive is undiscovered in any USB 2.0 port on the desktop but on the laptops its works fine in USB 2.0 ports. The drivers on the desktop system are up to date, so I am not sure why its not being seen on the 2.0 ports?
