"External WD passport not read on PC but perfect while connected to Samsung TV", My external hard drive is up to no good! I've backed up most of it. Last week Windows 7 enterprise stopped reading it. Asked for format drive, of which I declined. My computer sees the drive as d:/ but I can't access files. It's NTFS. I reinstalled Windows 7 after this and still the same problem. It's recognised as d:/ but appears to have no file system. I've tried recuva and it doesn't recognize the drive has a file system. THEN... I plug the drive into my TV, a Samsung and it reads the file structure and files perfectly. Any ideas on how to get my files off the hdd or readable again, before I lose the music I've got since my last back up?
