"Hard Drive file system is now RAW" , I've been trying to do a "deep" format on a HDD before I put it into a machine, and sell it on. Initially I tried the disc wipe function on CCleaner, but it complained about cyclic errors, at which point I checked the disc with Crystal Disk and all appeared to be well. Next I tried to do a standard format with Windows Disk Management and after about 8 hours (it's a 1Tb drive), it said the drive had not formatted properly. Sooo now, after some mucking around with partitions it says the drive has a 'RAW' file system, and somehow claims to be 100% empty. Will I be able to do a fresh install of Windows on this drive even with the RAW file system?
