I've got 1.5TB of data stored on it which is very very valuable to me (mostly old pictures and YouTube videos). The problem is, I can't access the HDD since today. It shows up as Local Disk ( K : ) and whenever I try to right click on it in order to open the properties, explorer just freezes and I need to force close it using taskmanager. I've already run a chkdsk k: on it, and it said the directory is RAW. I've read on other fora that this means the "partitioning table" is broken, or not? The cause for this is due to removing the USB or power supply of the HDD while it's still running and connected to the computer. I have forcely removed it a lot of times because the USB power supply exceeded and I had to reconnect some USB wires in order for my mouse or mic to work. Anyway, the thing I want to know is how I can fix my HDD without losing my precious data.
