"Is it possible to recover files after re-imaging my PC", I recently decided to re-image my PC and forgot to make a copy of some important data! (I know, silly me) Is it possible to get it back? The method I used to re-image was 1. burn windows iso to usb 2. boot off usb 3. chose advanced install 4. using the gui on windows installer, clicked the partition and pressed delete 5. it became unallocated space, installed fresh windows on top Now from what I've read, pressing delete in step 4 doesn't actually delete everything on the partition, it just clears the partition table and allows new data to be written on top of it, is it in theory possible to recover the files IF new data hasn't been written to that specific section yet? I've only written about 50GB to the 500GB drive that was pretty much full before the re-image. If anyone knows if this is possible and if so how I might go about doing it, it would be very much appreciated, but not to worry if not.
