"Windows 7 not detecting hard drive on clean install ", I am attempting to format my hard drive using a bootable version of Windows 7 with a USB. When I get to the part where I need to select the drive there are no drives shown. I am able to find the drive in BIOS and in disk management when I start my current version of Windows. When I am in BIOS I see the USB listed twice. Once on its own and again listed under the solid state. If I try to launch from the USB listed on its own my screen flashes and I am on the same BIOS screen. If I select the USB listed under the SSD it does the normal "loading Windows files" and other steps until I cannot find a drive. I have tried shift+f10 while in the Windows installation setup and when I type "diskpart" and "list disk" the only drive shown is the USB. My mobo is an ASUS Z97-A ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z97-A. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. I will continue to actively look for solutions as well and if I find a fix I will post it here.
