"Seagate not recognized in bios",I have a seagate 1tb IDE hard drive that was in a sony pc and it worked wonderfully. One day it would not boot and was not recognized in the bios. I was able to feel it spin up when booted which tells me the thing is getting juice. I took the hard drive out of the sony and placed it in a dell gx 150 as a slave drive to the one already there. Upon boot up neither drive was seen in the bios. I disconnected the seagate drive and rebooted and the computer booted normally for five or six boots and that was it. Now the second drive in a second computer is not recognized in the bios. There is power going to them so I know that is not an issue. There are some files on the seagate that I need so I am hoping that someone out there with some experience in these hard drive issues will have some helpful tips.
