"WD My Book 2TB Master boot record damaged, any fixes", my computer crashed while I was transferring a large amount of data over to my WD My Book 2TB external. I restarted my PC to find it was no longer showing up in My computer. In device manager and the boot menu of the bios sometimes it shows up sometimes it doesn't. Since then I've taken it out of it's casing and put it in my computer and used a range of recovery software with a variety of error messages, a few saying mbr is damaged, which I think is probably right, is there a simple way to replace or fix the mbr? I've tried widows recovery tool, no joy. WD diagnostics gives me the message 11-Cable Test::Write sector error! After switching my cables around I'm certain all cables are working fine. When the Hard Drive does show up it shows as have no sectors and when I try to initialize it I get the message "the request cannot be performed because of an i/o error"
