"WD10S21X and WD Boost trouble" ,I recently purchased a WD SSHD (WD10S21X-24R1BT0). The drive works perfectly on the HDD side, but the SSD side isn't showing at all. WD says that in order to use the SSD part of the drive, you have to install a program from them called WD Boost. When I try to install it, it give an error saying "Unable to find a WD SSHD..error#0". In the WD Q&A, it suggests to use a Sata Data cable to the mobo (motherboard). Another forum says to create a partition so Windows can see the 8GB drive. I don't see if the sata solution can be done on a laptop. & the partition solution didn't work at all. I understand that these particular drives are OEM'd to Leveno Y50 laptops. WD doesn't have firmware for these drives. Does anyone have a drive that's working perfectly? & if so, how did you get the SSD side to work? The whole drive shows up in BIOS & in Device Manager, but only the HDD side shows up in Windows. Is there any way I can get the SSD side to 1) show up in windows, & 2) work with the WD Boost. I also understand that the SSD is just a cache & you can't manage it.
