"Western Digital external drive not working after Win 10 update" ,I had a Intel Nuc machine with Windows 7 pro and a couple of external drives attached to it. For quite some time now Windows have been nagging me to upgrade to Windows 11 & Windows 10 and I've kept postponing it. (Wanted to check some isues before doing it) Then one evening i switched the display on and it just started upgrading. Fair enough and fingers crossed. BUT of course there was a problem with one of my HDD's. The HDD I've got issues with is a Western Digital Elements Desktop 3TB. For some reason it just stopped showing up in my explorer and Disk Management. However it still shows up in Device Manager... I've tried disabling and enabling, uninstalling, looked for new drivers, tried on a another Windows 11 & Windows 10 machine and same issue happened. Next step is to open the case and plugging it in via sata, but I though I'd ask here first. This is how it looks in device manager.
