"Why is my one flash drive showing as a local disk but the other as a removable disk" ,I have a Lexar JumpDrive, which isn't really one of the best brands to go with, but it was cheap. When i plug it, it shows up in my computer, and under "type" it says local disk. When i plug in my new sandisk CruzerMini, it shows as a removable disk. This isn't too much of a problem until i move my flash drives over to my win 98 machine. I have an autorun.inf in both of them, both files are identical, and there's only enough there to tell the computer to use the ico file named to represent the drive. Although that's not really importaint, it also won't do any other autorun things i setup, that the lexar one will. Anyone have any idea how i can set my sandisk thing as a local disk instead of a removable one?
